Tamara McKinnon received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2007. While attending law school, she was actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, the Alternative Dispute Resolution program, as well as the Legal Aid Clinic, Civil Division. Before joining Mair Jensen Blair LLP in 2009, she worked for a local insurance defence boutique law firm. Prior to attending law school, Tamara obtained her Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Criminology) from Simon Fraser University.
Tamara’s law practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, including motor vehicle accident claims, as well as family law. She is a member of the B.C. Trial Lawyers Association, the Law Society of British Columbia and the Kamloops Bar Association. Tamara was recently elected to the Kamloops Bar Association’s Board of Directors, and enjoys being active in her community.
Although born in Australia, Tamara was raised on the West Coast and loves being outdoors running, hiking and snowboarding. She also enjoys yoga, squash and roller skating with her dog.
